I quit smoking about 5 months ago… (I am so proud of myself) I feel so much healthier and a whole lot better about myself! :) It feels so weird to not get that ‘”break” to get away from something. To deal with things! Sometimes, I get so moody…. :( I know I have to stay positive! Lol… Quiting feels so good! So would you please tell me your story! How did you learn to calm yourself? If you put on some weight did you lose it after sometime? Do you feel more alive? How has your life changed since you quit? :)

I’ve been doing well, but suddenly I want one so bad. It’s like I feel I need the reward I used to feel from smoking. This is the strongest urge I’ve had since I quit. I seem to be becoming fixated on it. I’ve also been eating alot, but exercising it off so my weight has been fairly stable at least. Any advice is appreciated.

I really need to quit smoking. Any tips from ex-smokers out there? What made it easier for you to quit?

Thanks!

Although my boyfriend and I live thousands of miles apart we have managed to stay close over the past year of our seperation. He told me recently that he wants to quit smoking, and I want to help him anyway I can but I live so far away! He says that he can go a couple of days but then he gets this sudden attack and has to go out and buy a pack. Any ideas on how I can help him stop every time he gets the urge to go out and buy a pack and smoke it all at once?

What is the best way to quit smoking?

I know this question has been asked before but my dilemma is this: My Back Porch. I know it sounds stupid so hear me out:

I do not smoke at work, in my car, in my home, not even when I’m out socially, but the first thing I want to do when I get home is go to my back porch and light up. What’s that about?

I believe I can quit with patch-assisted help, but what do I do about the beautiful porch nestled in the mountains calling my name??? I look at my deck as an extension of my home and I’ve tried to “not going” outside but it drives me nuts!

HELP – I have some freaky mind-block that I can’t snap out of.

He wants to quit but doesn’t know how to stop. He tried the patch for like 3 days and complained that it was too itching on his skin and then he tried hypnosis which cut him from a pack a day to a half pack. He smokes outside of our home because of our one year old son and me having allergies. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
